Gilbert and Gaillard – Arnaud de Cheurlin in the guide to the best champagnes

Brut Cuvée Prestige: The color is bright golden yellow. The nose offers evolving and complex aromas reminiscent of gingerbread, with a hint of caramel.

Brut Cuvée Prestige: Beautiful light yellow color. Engaging nose with notes of white flowers and lemon. The palate is fresh and fleshy, well-integrated. Burgundy-style aromatic profile. Suitable for an appetizer or a fish dish.

Brut Réserve: Light gold color. Fruity nose with notes of citrus and exotic fruits. The palate is structured and quite powerful, with a pronounced fruit character. A cuvée for an aperitif.

– The Chef’s Hat and the Glass: Mr. and Mrs. Jurgen Eisentrager own 6 hectares of vineyards: their estate is located in Celles-sur-Ource, in the Côte-des-Bar, on very well-exposed slopes.

The three noble grape varieties are harmoniously distributed: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. Jurgen handles the production of the champagnes, respecting tradition. Christine manages sales and customer relations. 70% of the production is sold directly to individuals, 5% is exported (to Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg), and 25% is sold to businesses, hotels, restaurants, and cafés.

The production range includes: Réserve Brut, a blend of the best cuvées of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, delicate and light. The Rosé Brut, with a dark color and very fruity after a long maceration. The Carte Noire Brut or Demi-Sec, very round, made exclusively from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The Millésimé, produced in limited quantities, only in exceptional years. The Cuvée Prestige Brut, the flagship of the house, a blend of tête de cuvées with 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir: very powerful, with limited quantities, a great champagne.
